Why this course

The ELM is the European semantic model for learning achievements, and the DC4EU pilot used it as the data model for education credentials in wallets. European education providers will meet both Open Badges and the ELM; knowing how to map between them avoids double work.

What you will be able to do

  1. Describe the European Learning Model and how it structures learning achievements.
  2. Issue a sample European Digital Credential for Learning with the Commission's tools.
  3. Map an Open Badges credential to the ELM and identify gaps.
  4. Explain the role of the ELM in wallet-based education credentials.
